Foundational Obedience Lessons
Climbing a mountain can be quite the daunting and rewarding task, but it begins with the first steps. It all starts here with foundational obedience (FOB) at K9 Azimuth. Start building an enriching training culture for both ends of the leash. From this education you can grow as a team to advanced obedience or working disciplines.
FOB lessons are for dogs 4+ months old (see our puppy training page for puppy programs)
What FOB Covers:

Learn about dog psychology.

Understand training culture: we want dogs invested in the process of learning with you long term.

Build markers for rewarding good decisions and progressions in training.

Learn how to condition the leash as a directional language. Tactile pressure should be both a gas pedal and a brake, allowing you to coach and communicate.

Understand scaffolded process to build behaviors with heart and soul.

Transition behaviors into structured commands.

Emphasis will be placed on establishing five primary utility commands EVERYONE should master.

Learn how to proof and generalize skills for practical (real life) application and/or behavior modification.

(With in-person coaching): Enroll in our affiliated video series, watch the course down before 1st lesson, and attend four private in-person lessons in Clinton, MT! Submit videos of working with your dog at home for critique during the week and come prepared for lessons each week.
